Adult and children social care software

I am carrying out a research project into local government software usage for adult and childrens’ social care. Please could you let me know, for each system used in the delivery of adult and children’s social care:

1. Name of system and supplier (or if built in-house)

Eclipse
• * CareFirst
• * Content Manager
• * PFS
• * Right for Children

2. What you use the system for (case management, finances, direct payments, personal health budgets, financial assessments, document management etc)

Case management for statutory services.
Case management for our disabled children’s service both statutory and non-statutory work
Adoption and Fostering services.
Allocation to a team and worker.
Quality assurance, performance management.
Satutory reporting is pulled from this system.
Information sharing with partners.
Finance requests, management of payments is through Care First.
Children in Care and legal status.
Care Leavers.
Early Help is coming into Eclipse in near future and Family Group Conference.

3. How long you have been using the system for

Eclipse went live in January 2019.

4. When the current contract for the system expires

March 2025

5. Whether the system is hosted by the council, by the supplier, by a third party or a hybrid of all these options

Cloud hosted by OLM

6. Where the team that supports and maintains the software operates: within the service area, within IT, outsourced, or a different model (please specify).

Outsourced to OLM

7. What the annual cost for support and maintenance is for the software

The average across the current term is £547,080

8. How many hours of training is provided per user, per year in using the software and whether this training is delivered in person, remotely or through e-learning.

½ a days induction training, which can be re-taken as a refresher
½ a days training for specific roles as requested, such as business support and managers
½ days training for different service areas as requested, such as Child In Care or Child Protection processes
Training is completed either in a classroom or remotely, more remotely via e-learning with covid. We can cater to the needs of individual workers and can provide face to face and 1:1 support if needed.
We also have a help desk, where remote support can be accessed and given throughout the working day.
