1) Please confirm cycle infrastructure plans
The County Council has produced a Cycling and Multi-Use Trail Network Strategy, an Exeter Strategic Cycle Network Report, a draft Heart of Teignbridge LCWIP (due for consultation after the elections) and is currently finalising an Exeter LCWIP. These documents guide our investment in walking and cycling, which is set out in our Cabinet Capital Programme (see item 7 of the online agenda which can be viewed at: (Public Pack)Agenda Document for Cabinet, 08/04/2020 )
2) Please confirm if there is an approved supplier list / tender list
Preparation of cycling infrastructure strategy documentation is carried out in-house or with support from our framework consultants, WSP, through our Transport and Engineering Professional Services (TEPS) contract. Depending on the value of the schemes, works are generally delivered through our minor engineering works framework (value up to £1.0m), which includes Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, Devon Tarmasters (SW) Ltd, Dyer & Butler Ltd, E&JW Glendinning Limited, Macplant Construction Ltd and South West Highways.
For schemes above that value, there is an option to procure works through a Generation 3 Civil Engineering, Highways and Transportation Infrastructure Works Framework Two (GEN 3-2) for works valued from £50,000 to £10m and includes the following contractors: Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, Amey Hampshire, Balfour Beatty Regional, Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd, Colas Ltd, Interserve Construction Limited, Mildren Construction Limited, Knights Brown Construction Ltd, Skanska Construction UK Ltd t/a Skanska Infrastructure Services or Tarmac Trading Ltd.
Alternatively, works are procured through a formal tender process.
