Devon County Council conducted the first phase of a public consultation concerning local streets in the Heavitree and Whipton areas of Exeter between 16 November and 18 December 2020 in the form of an online poll, as per Heavitree and Whipton local consultation
Please provide all the data gathered by Devon County Council during this consultation phase.
The information gathered in this consultation is to be used to formulate policy in relation to the streets of Heavitree and Whipton. Disclosure of the raw data without proper analysis will prejudice the consideration which is due to take place and the formulation of the policy. Whilst we acknowledge the need for transparency, we consider that a disclosure of this information, at the present time, is not in the public interest as the data without consideration or analysis is open to misinterpretation. Disclosure of this information is therefore exempt pursuant to s.36 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as it will prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs.
Further, responses to the consultation were provide in confidence. The consultation stated that “All the information we collect is anonymous and does not identify anyone. We do not collect any personal data and we do not share your information with third parties or use it for any other purpose other than analysing your suggestions”. Disclosure of the information is therefore also exempt pursuant to s. 41 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as the information was provided in confidence.
