Please could you confirm whether Devon County Council (Devon Assurance Partnership?) has a dedicated Counter Fraud team?
Devon County Council’s (DCC) Counter Fraud services are provided by Devon Assurance Partnership (DAP). DAP is a shared assurance services organisation made up of various public body partners, of which DCC is one.
If so, I would be grateful if you could provide:
- The approximate number of staff within the team; and
- Their job titles (or, if this is not possible, the relevant grades/bands of those roles).
DAP currently has a team of approximately 6.5 FTE, made up of a Team Manager, a Senior Officer and Counter Fraud Officers.
If the Council does not have a dedicated Counter Fraud team, please could you outline how counter fraud activities are resourced. For example, whether these responsibilities are:
- Delivered through external providers (such as assurance or counter fraud services);
- Part of a shared counter fraud service or joint taskforce with other Councils; or
- Incorporated within existing roles (e.g. within Finance or other departments).
Please refer to question 1, Devon County Council’s (DCC) Counter Fraud services are provided by Devon Assurance Partnership (DAP).
