(4) What does Devon County Council see their referral stream numbers has being currently and in what ratio of categories (supported accommodation 16+, residential, UASC, mother & baby etc)?
DCC does not hold the information concerning referral stream categories. In the interests of providing advice and assistance we can confirm that so far in the financial year 2026 – 27 we have 73 Looked After Children, of which 11 were UASC. Ten of these children are in foster care, and one is in residential care.

Please see DCC’s Sufficiency Strategy for this information. This specifically references the need for foster carers for teenagers who need care, and where support rather than care is needed, it should be the right supported accommodation offer as set out in this DCC cabinet paper.
