1. Number of Care Act 2014 needs assessments undertaken for adults with a learning disability in the previous 12 months.
There were 1,812 needs assessments undertaken for the period 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026 (2025/26).
2. Number of those in (1) who live in a family home.
Of the assessments listed in question 1, 416 were undertaken where the client was living at home.
3. Of the assessments for the people in (2), how many included a formal plan around emergency care planning including how the person will get help if their unpaid carer is unable to support them (e.g., due to illness).
Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 makes provision for public authorities to refuse requests for information where the cost of compliance would exceed the appropriate limit, which for local government is set at £450 or 18 hours of officer time. To collate the information requested would require a manual search of 359 client records, each check taking 5 minutes totalling 29.9 hours work.
