Raised tarmac at the bus stop in the road was reported to Devon County Council (DCC) on the 15th December 2025. DCC looked into this and replied that the road is inspected on a monthly basis and any faults are reported and actioned accordingly.

This section of Rolle Street was subject to a monthly planned Highway Safety Inspection in accordance with the Council’s Highway Safety Policy as follows:
08/12/2026: No safety defects recorded
13/01/2026: No safety defects recorded
13/02/2026.:1 defect recorded and subsequently repaired (this was not in the location of the report from the 15th December 2025).
At the time of the requestors report, the location was inspected and the “raised tarmac at the bus stop” was assessed as not being a safety defect in accordance with the Council’s Highway Safety Policy.
2. Does your highways engineer consider this part of Rolle Street is safe to use?
Devon County Council does not hold this information. We can confirm that the only safety defect identified during the Highway Safety Inspection on the 13th February 2026 has been repaired.
