I am seeking information on the number of surface water overflows specifically, those that are not part of the foul or combined sewer network and discharge rainwater and road runoff only that are owned or managed by Devon County Council (DCC).
If available, I would also appreciate any associated data for these outfalls, including
– Discharge volumes or flow estimates
– Water quality information
– Indicators of potential contaminants (e.g., microplastics from tyre wear, bacterial load, ammonia)
My understanding is that surface water discharges in urban areas are usually the responsibility of the Water Industry, which is why I have not contacted Plymouth City Council. If DCC is not the correct authority to address this type of enquiry, please let me know who I should contact instead.
