20. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is parked safely and wholly within the confines of a marked parking place. The vehicle should not be parked wholly or partly on a footpath or verge, or in a hazardous manner.
Terms and conditions – Roads and transport
Please can you confirm that the above is fully consistent with the Highway Code in that:-
Your vehicle must park entirely within the designated parking bay markings.
Your vehicle should fit within the bay, even if other vehicles are poorly parked when you arrive.
If your vehicle is too large to fit entirely within the bay markings, you must find an alternative parking space where your vehicle can fit.
