Please could you provide me with the number of reports received, including the date received, in relation to excessive traffic speed along the stretch of the B3195 from the Strap Lane/Lindridge Lane roundabout to the entrance of the A380 NB slip road adjacent to Eagle Close.
Please provide information from dates in 2018 to present. Please could you also provide information detailing any significant action taken by Devon County Highways in relation to these reports.
In relation to the number of reports received and the action which was taken in response, this is available at: B3195 reports
We can further confirm that following speed checks, it has been agreed that is a need for the occasional reminder to drivers of the limit that is in place.
Therefore, Devon County Council would be happy for the Town Council to install a Vehicle Activated Speed sign in the vicinity of this location.
Any installation will need to be carried out by the Parish or a chosen contractor. You will also need to ensure any necessary traffic management is in place to protect workers and highway users. If you need assistance in understanding what licences or permits may be required to carry out Traffic management, please do not hesitate to reach out.
It would be expected that the Town Council would accept responsibility for all costs of the installation and ongoing maintenance of the sign.
Devon County Council’s record of this can be seen at Vehicle Activated Sign.
