2. Details on whether all schools in the area – including academies – have to report emergency closures to the local authority.
3. Details on whether schools need to inform the local authority of decisions to go into lockdowns.
In response to questions 2 and 3, all state funded schools should notify the LA they are within that they intend to close the school on a temporary basis.
Devon County Council offers a facility for schools to record school closures, this is done via the Children, families and education webpage.
