Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

Please find below questions to be submitted as a Freedom of Information request, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

1. The total LEVI (Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) funding allocated to your council and the amount spent to date.

The LEVI funding allocations for all authorities can be found via the link below.  To date, Devon County Council have received LEVI capital funding of £7,067,000 and LEVI capability (revenue) funding of £930,600.

Funding

The Devon and Torbay LEVI contracts are currently mobilising and as such there was no LEVI capital spend to end of financial year 2024/25.  LEVI Revenue spend to the end of financial year 2024/25 was approximately £370,000.

2. The total number of EV chargepoints installed to date using LEVI funding (please provide type if available).

As part of the Devon and Torbay LEVI project Devon County Council are aiming to deliver thousands of chargepoints over the next few years. We’re at the final stages of the tender process and expect to be able to confirm the total numbers that the winning suppliers will deliver in the coming months.

3. The total number of additional chargepoints currently planned or contracted for installation under this funding, and the expected delivery timeline.

Please refer to our response to question 2.

4. Does the council have plans to run cross-pavement charging trials to help residents without driveways safely charge their electric vehicles?

Devon and Torbay Cable Channel Trial is currently running, full details can be found on our website – Devon and Torbay electric vehicle cable channel trial – Roads and transport.
