1) Do you have your own local authority plant nursery?
We have a temporary tree nursery for growing saplings for the A382 highway improvement scheme.
2) Does it have a peat-free policy?
No, but the compost has been principally provided from the municipal-waste composting facility in Exeter. Additional compost has been peat-free.
3) Do you have a peat-free policy for sourcing plants and growing media (compost) for parks?
No. Devon County Council has two country parks (rather than municipal parks), which do not make use of compost.
4) What percentage of peat-free plants do you estimate you currently use?
We don’t use plants.
