I would like to submit a Freedom of Information request to understand the Learning Disabilities support offered by your Local Authority to adults aged 18-64. I am looking for information on care provided in both Residential care and Supported living settings.
The data I would like to request is the following, for the financial years ending March 2022, March 2023, March 2024 and the period April 2024 to December 2024. For all items, please provide the information split across, where the care setting is ‘in-area’ (the local area covered by the Local Authority) and where the care setting is ‘out-of-area’ (outside the local area covered by the Local Authority).
Please note for the answers to the questions below:
We can’t provide anything for Supported Living prior to April 2024 as we didn’t have that data collected separately before then.
We can’t provide new and ended analysis for Supported Living because the data on the system was updated and so accurate new ended data is not available.
Supported Living – Devon County Council (DCC) commissions for care only so this is what is reflected in the proportion of cost – it isn’t comparable to Residential for that reason.
Long Stay Placements Fully Funded by the local authority.
We don’t have a way of identifying Out of County Placements for Supported Living.
