Please could I ask the following under a freedom of information-
1. How many of your road subsidence’s are due to lack of maintenance of drainage assets for the last three years? How many were caused by ground and surface water causing erosion?
Devon County Council does not hold this information. We do not record reported problems in a category of “road subsidence”, nor do we routinely record the cause of any road subsidence.
2. How many flooding incidents are due to a lack of maintenance of drainage assets for the last three years?
Devon County Council does not hold this information. We do not routinely record the cause of flooding incidents.
3. In regard to road subsidence, what is the main cause, and what are you doing to prevent this from reoccurring and costing the tax payer money?

4. How much has been claimed from the Environment Agency funds to help elevate flooding?
Over the past 10 years DCC have proactively secured over £6million in Defra Flood Defence Grant in Aid and Local Levy, both administered by the Environment Agency, for delivering flood improvements to affected communities.
5. How much has been spent in the last five years on road subsidence which was due to surface or ground water causing erosion?
Devon County Council does not hold this information as our financial information is not held in a form that the cost of work related to road subsidence could be extracted.
