Highways cleaning includes: clearing carriageway siding and ploughing, annual cleaning of grips easements and buddleholes, and autumn leaf sweeping in addition to ditch cleaning.

Devon County Council does not hold information for geographically allocated budgets for 2015/2016, 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021. In 2022/2023 the council changed to central ordering and needs based programming, so there are no longer geographical based budgets.
