3. Fire Risk Assessment (relating to the decision above)
A Fire Risk Assessment was not carried out as it is not required for this highway scheme.
4. Can you please advise if you contacted the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for advice regarding the needs of vulnerable people, for example the elderly, young children or those with disabilities, and advice regarding an emergency evacuation plan as this should have been at the heart of your Equality Impact assessment . If you did not, can you please explain why you did not think this was necessary?
Devon Fire and Rescue Service were sent details of the proposals as part of the consultation, but the council did not seek views on these specific issues.
The council consults the fire service so they may consider how the proposals will impact their access along the highway, in accordance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.
