These trees appear to have been topped.
Branches have been pruned to improve visibility for the cycle detector (located on the traffic signal near the junction of Sidwell Street) and to remove some obstructive branches over the cycle lane. The surgery was completed by contractors under the Council’s Tree Management Framework, which requires that work completed is in accordance with BS3998 (Recommendations for Tree Works).
Further tree works may be undertaken by WSP (engineering consultants) as part of the proposed bus lane improvements.
