3. How many secondary pupils are currently awaiting an EHCP? Please break this down by district and school.

The table below shows where an EHCP has been agreed for a Secondary age pupil but not yet issued … broken by district.

To present the information broken down by school would, in the context of the other information available, risk identifying the pupils.   This would therefore be a breach of their personal data and this information is exempt from disclosure pursuant to section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

4. How many secondary pupils are no longer attending while still on roll? Please break this down by district and school. If possible, please provide the reason for the ongoing absence.

We do not hold full details of this information and in order to find reasons for ongoing absence we would need to contact every school in Devon and find out the severe absence reason for each young person. This would have to be repeated for academic years 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2023/24.

This would take longer than the appropriate time limit of 18 hours.  We are therefore not obliged to provide this information pursuant to section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

5. How many complaints have been received by schools or the LA in relation to meeting children’s SEN (please separate into primary and secondary, also separate into specific schools)?

We do not hold a central record of this information.  To extract this information would require a manual review of all complaints which would take longer than the appropriate time limit of 18 hours.  We are therefore not obliged to provide this information pursuant to section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
