The calculations were not subject to any peer review. Monitoring (using a combination of permanent traffic counters and manual classified counts and sensors) will be carried out during the course of the trial to quantify the effects of the scheme.
In particular the data for the number of vehicles that make a single journey without stopping between the 2 roads and the expected increase in journey time for commercial vehicles and the cost implications using Heavitree Rd and Pinhoe Rd.
