You may find the following useful:
Clinical settings are not obliged to report/inform UKHSA or Local Authority Public Health when they are made aware of tick bites and/or Lyme disease, so no complete data collection system exists. It’s likely that many tick bites will go unnoticed or are dealt with by the bitten individual, without medical intervention, which is why we regularly support public information around this topic in warmer months.
There is the Tick Surveillance Scheme – where tick samples can be sent to UKHSA to help track species & their health impacts Tick awareness and the Tick Surveillance Scheme – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
There is the national distribution map available Ticks: distribution of Ixodes ricinus in England, Scotland and Wales (last updated 2020).
The guidance for Lyme disease is here Lyme disease: resources and guidance – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and most recently (created in Feb 2022 ) is the new Lyme disease indicator on the Fingertips PH data platform Health Protection – OHID (phe.org.uk)
