Devon County Council believes compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate costs limit under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The appropriate costs limit is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. We do not hold a centralised database of these figures, therefore a manual check of each pupil folder would be required. Due to the amount of information in a folder it would take approximately 15 minutes per folder to determine if there was a private assessment, if it was agreed, if it was funded by us and then if it was used. We estimate this would take 2,075 hours, because of the number of folders.
