Full funded maths intervention programmes for Devon Ukrainian children

Aim

The aim of this intervention is to support Ukrainian children to understand key maths terminology and practice numerical skills to improve their academic outcomes.

How the intervention will work

EMTAS’s own advisory teacher, who is also a maths specialist will deliver learning via TEAMS. A Ukraine support teacher will be available to interpret and support the learners. Each group will receive 6 sessions for secondary and 8 sessions for primary, and there will be children from other schools attending the intervention session. Your school will need to ensure that you provide a quiet place and access to a computer, paper, stationery, and a scientific calculator (secondary only) to complete their intervention.

This is fully funded for all Devon schools (excluding Torbay and Plymouth) and is subject to availability.

  • Secondary programmes – begin 22 Nov
  • Primary programmes – begin 24 Jan

Suitable where home language is Ukrainian.
