New DiAS website

DiAS (Devon, Information, Advice and Support) supports children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their parents and carers. Their service is impartial and confidential.

DiAS (Devon Information Advice and Support) has reviewed and updated their website, adding lots of new information and giving it a fresh new look and improved navigation.

They can help to:

  • understand more about SEND and support
  • develop good relationships with professionals
  • prepare well for meetings
  • express yours and your childs views
  • understand the paperwork

These are some of the new features:

  • a bigger and better young people’s section
  • a new section about SEN support in schools – including SEN support, school plans, the graduated approach and getting specialist help and assessment
  • an extensive resources section of PDFs – every webpage for parents and carers has a matching PDF document for users to download
  • information grouped into logical ‘journeys,’ so parents can move step by step though processes
  • question and answer format and small chunks of user friendly information

Please take a look and share with the parents and young people you support: www.devonias.org.uk
