Supporting Transition from Primary to Secondary for Autistic Students (delivered live online)
This course will provide delegates with an understanding of how autistic students may experience transition, potential barriers and concerns, and what supporting staff can do to support.
This event is highly relevant for both Primary (host setting) and Secondary (receiving setting) staff, with a partnership approach (Secondarys and their feeder schools) to attendance for identified cohorts of CYP and supporting staff highly recommended.
Training Objectives
After completing the module, you will be able to understand:
- how autistic students may experience transition
- what creates barriers and concern for autistic students through transition
- what you can do to effectively support transition for autistic students.
