Governance Consultancy Conference

Promoting and Supporting Effective Engagement with Parents and Carers

Our half-day conference will focus on the positive impact that parent and carer engagement has on outcomes for children and young people, and the role that good governance plays in promoting it.

So what is parent and carer engagement? What is the difference between parental involvement in school and parental engagement in learning? What changes can schools make to foster real and meaningful parental engagement?

All these questions will be considered from the governance perspective through insightful and expert keynote sessions and workshops.

Lee Elliot Major OBE is one of the most influential public voices in national education debates and is Professor of Social Mobility at the University of Exeter.
