It’s Funding Friday and this week we have funding streams from ‘Foyle Foundation’ and ‘BlueSpark Foundation grants’.


Holiday, Activities & Food (HAF) winter programme goes live on 25 November

The Holiday, Activities & Food (HAF) winter offer will go live on Monday 25th November. There are a wide range of activities for children to enjoy across Devon as well as theatre tickets for eligible families in North Devon and Exeter. Please share with eligible families.


Primary / infant/ junior school applications for September 2025 are now open!

The online application portal for new reception admissions in September 2025 at primary / infant schools and year three admissions at junior school, is open from today! The closing date for applications is 15 January 2025.


SaFest 2024 – fully funded online safeguarding conference 25 – 29 November

SaFest, our annual week-long safeguarding symposium, is open to anyone, so please share freely with friends, colleagues wherever they work (inside or outside of the County of Devon).

Infection prevention – resources as we head into winter

Resources that can help you to prevent or manage cases and outbreaks of infectious diseases in your setting. Free health protection webinar running on Thursday 23 January 4-5pm. The webinar will provide you with information about how to prevent and manage seasonal cases and outbreaks.


World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW): 18-24 November 2024

Antimicrobial medicines help keep us safe from illnesses caused by germs like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. When these medicines don’t work well or stop working altogether, it can be tough to treat these illnesses. We share some tips on what you can do.


16 Days of Action: raising awareness to help end violence against women and girls

16 Days of Action is an annual, international campaign, running from Monday 25 November until Tuesday 10 December, which calls for an end to gender-based violence and the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. Events are running across Devon and are open to all.
