eBooks Service. The period of the contract is for 24 months with an
option to extend for a further 2 x 24-months following a OJEU tender
process.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
The decision has been taken on the basis of supplier(s) achieving the
highest overall score within a best value tender (optimum combination
of whole-life costs and quality) in line with the European Procurement
Directives award procedure of Most Economically Advantageous
Tender (MEAT).
Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:
A competitive process was undertaken from which four bids were
received these were considered as part of the formal evaluation
process.
