The decision has been taken on the basis of suppliers providing the required quality of service during the initial contract period.
To end the contract: This was rejected as would leave vulnerable people and their families without access to much needed services. DCC would not be able to quality assure providers.
To retender the contract: Rejected due to costly and time consuming procurement process, when the current contract is working well.
