Exeter Musical Society, formerly Exeter Amateur Operatic Society, is the oldest amateur musical society in Exeter, founded in 1904. Following the society’s recent success with a modern and vibrant staging of “Shrek the Musical”, by contrast, “The Sound of Music” has been selected for the next production.

This collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II created a traditional family favourite which, through music, carries the strong message of perseverance and a steadfast love for family and homeland.

“The Sound of Music” will be staged at The Northcott Theatre, Exeter, 3^rd – 8^th April 2023. The search is on for talented children, aged 6 and above, to charm audiences with their sublime singing and acting talents and enthusiastic dancing skills.

Auditions will be held on Sunday 8^th January 2023.
