EXPIRED Free School Meals Lists and Children on Transitional Protection

The free school meals team will no longer be sending you lists of your free school meal cohorts by email on a termly basis.

The team have implemented a new solution which we hope you will find a lot more effective and efficient. All those schools that subscribe to our free school meals service will now receive a free school meal list every Monday between 10-12pm. Lists will now be sent out via AnyComms and your school account holder will receive an email notification to inform you that a file has been uploaded for you to login to the system and download.

The lists contain the same information as before and is sorted in an order which will display the most recent claimants at the top, so each week you can quickly view who has been authorised by the Local Authority in between receiving your last list and your new list.

You will have received your first list via Any comms on Monday 7th December. There will be children on this list that receive a free school meal with you because they have a historical claim with their previous Local Authority. Please note that we don’t know who these children are and need you to notify us of these children urgently so that we can include them in the voucher mailing process.

Please send an email to freeschoolmeals@devon.gov.uk with any children that claim a meal with you under transitional protection. Include the Name, postal address and/or an email. If it is easier, we could provide you with a code to issue to these families, please let us know. The cut off date for us to be able to offer vouchers is 17 December.

Please note now that we will be sending free school meals lists out weekly, we will not be emailing lists out to you on an ad hoc basis.

Lastly, we are issuing 16,000 vouchers codes next week and therefore our phone lines and inbox will be under considerable pressure and I would ask for your patience and understanding during this busy period.
