Update – Draft Teacher’s Pay Policy 2026

Following the initial communication went out to schools in July – 2026 Pay Award and Pay Policy Update – Teachers – School Communications we can confirm that the updated pay policy will remain as draft until after the STPCD is made law by parliament in early November.

Statutory consultation only closed at the end of September and the document is not laid before Parliament (due to the conference season) until 16 October. It then has a 21 day ‘praying’ period before it can be finalised and published. The earliest the document will be confirmed as final will be 7 November 2026. We will update the document and confirm it is now live as soon after this as possible.
