2025 School Teacher’s Pay Policy – Updated
Following feedback we have provided some clarity in respect of the following:
- For the purposes of this policy, the reference to performance throughout refers to appraisal of a teacher’s performance within the appraisal period and does not relate to performance related pay.
- Updated section 5.0 to confirm that pay progression is not automatic and it will be possible for a ‘no progression’ determination to be made for those subject to informal capability.
- Updated section 5.2 regarding deputy and assistant head teachers.
- Provided some additional examples relating to Teaching and Learning Responsibility Payments (TLRs)
