Local Government Services National Joint Council (NJC) 2026/27 pay award agreed
Pay Award Details – effective from 1 April 2026:
- An increase of 3.3% on NJC pay points 3 – 43 inclusive (and including locally agreed SCP44)
- An increase of 3.3% on all allowances covered under NJC Terms and Conditions
The NJC pay grades table (salary and scales) now reflect new pay rates.
Maintained Schools who purchase a payroll service from DCC – increases will be implemented (pro rata for part-time staff) and backdated to April 2026 in the September 2026 pay run, therefore staff will receive this in their September 2026 pay.
For all other schools who purchase a payroll service from DCC, your payroll contact will be in touch to discuss your individual school arrangements.
