EXPIRED NEW Wraparound Childcare Scheme (WAC) for service families

Before and after school childcare providers for primary school-aged children need to know that from the start of this term service families can be funded for up to 20 hours a week. 

This could offer a real boost to your provision, increasing the number of children attending as well as the number of hours being accessed. To benefit you must be signed up to the Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) scheme to be able to take this funding (as well as TFC). Parents will pay through their childcare account. 

The MOD has promoted this to the Army, Navy and Air Force but schools may also want to promote this offer to service families who are not currently using before and after school care. All providers should market this through their website and communications with families.  

 Within Devon services families are spread throughout the county, however, we would expect that providers in the following areas would benefit from promoting this offer as there are military establishments nearby:
