Trade Unions to ballot over the NJC pay offer 2024/5
Following the National Employer’s response to the Trade Unions NJC pay claim 2024/5, the trade unions have announced their intentions to ballot members over the pay offer Local government pay offer 2024 | Local Government Association
- Unison are recommending members reject the offer and will be balloting from 5 June to 29 June 2024.
- GMB are not making any recommendations and are inviting members to vote on whether to accept or reject the offer, they will be balloting from 3 June to 5 July 2024.
- Unite are recommending that members reject the offer but have not yet confirmed their ballot timeframes.
As NJC pay will not be agreed by 4 July, the pre-election period should not have any material effect on anticipated timescales of this year’s pay round.
