For the Love of Reading! English conference
Tuesday 18 October 2022 – Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre
This conference is an opportunity to engage with world leading expertise and research into what it means to genuinely develop Reading for Pleasure in our schools. The event will feature a combination of academic experience, classroom experience and real world writing author experience.
We hope to support delegates with considering how to develop their practice and ensure that they do so with the same rigour and high expectations applied to other aspects of the reading curriculum.
Training objectives are:
- to consider what embedding practice in reading for pleasure might look like
- to explore best practice case studies
- to hear the author perspective and extend understanding of how the best writing for children and young people sits at the heart of an effective reading curriculum
