NJC School Support Staff Pay Update 2026/7
On the 24 March the National Employers responded to the Trade Unions NJC claim for 2026/7 for local government services (‘Green Book’) employees with the following full and final offer:
- With effect from 1 April 2026, an increase of 3.3 per cent for NJC pay points 3 – 43
- With effect from 1 April 2026, an increase of 3.3 per cent on all allowances
As employees on the locally agreed SCP 44 are employed on NJC terms and conditions, they will be entitled to the NJC Award once agreed.

The National Employers have encouraged the Trade Unions to try to synchronise the timing and duration of membership consultations.
