Reminder: Upcoming Data Protection Networking Forum – 29th January 2026
Data Protection Networking Forum – Thursday 29 January 2026, 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.
We strongly encourage all Data Protection Link Officers (DPLOs), Champions, and anyone with an interest in data protection to join us. These sessions are designed to keep you up to date with legislative changes and provide practical support.
This forum will focus on:
- Keeping your school’s data safe – a review of recent personal data breaches and, in light of the growing cyber-threat landscape, practical guidance on identifying phishing emails and the steps to take if you accidentally click on one.
- An exploration of what constitutes a ‘reasonable search’ when locating information to respond to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
- An update on the new Complaints Process that schools must implement by June 2026
These sessions offer opportunities to connect with data protection leads from other schools and academies, share insights, discuss challenges, and exchange best practices.
