Census 2021 Schools Programme

The next census is taking place on Sunday 21 March 2021. The census happens every 10 years and gives  a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales and helps to plan and fund public services, including education. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has developed education programmes  with resources for primary schools.

Let’s Count! is an exciting free education resource programme about the census. The resources are designed to teach children both in the classroom and at home.

By registering your school for Let’s Count!, you’ll have access to video lessons that can also be used for remote learning. The resources offer professional development training for your teachers, with an exclusive session about progression in statistics across the primary years.

Your school could also win £1,000 of equipment in our Let’s Count! competition.

To register visit www.letscount.org.uk. A free resource pack will be sent to you in January 2021.
