Consultation extended: the future of Branscombe C of E Primary School
The consultation on the future of Branscombe C of E Primary School has been extended. The closing date for this consultation is now 30 September 2026.
Feedback from a consultation drop-in session indicated two clear themes: a desire from the community for the consultation period to be extended, and strong opposition to Branscombe Church of England Primary School closing during an academic year should a decision be made to proceed with closure.
It has been agreed to extend the consultation period to 30 September 2026. The proposed implementation date for closure of the school will also be moved to 31 August 2027, ensuring that any closure would take place at the end of the academic year.
