Autism Awareness Parent Programme – free for parents/carers
The programme is for parents/carers of Devon primary and secondary school children, pre or post diagnosis.
Access is for families of Children and Young People (CYP) who are currently on the autism assessment pathway, in addition to families of CYP who have received an autism diagnosis.
Attending the Autism Awareness Parent Programme gives parents and carers an opportunity to develop their understanding of autism and look at practical solutions to managing and supporting presenting needs.
4 weekly ‘live online’ sessions (approx. 2hrs each, 10am – 12noon) related to the following topic/themes:
- Autism Overview (11 Feb)
- Communication (18 Feb)
- Understanding and Supporting Behaviour (4 Mar)
- Sensory (11 Mar)
