Deposit
We will need to take a £50 non-refundable deposit (full balance for statutory ceremonies) which will secure your booking. This deposit will be deducted from your final fee.
For bookings made within 12 weeks of the proposed date, full payment is required at the time of booking
Payment of the balance of fees
The balance must be paid at least 12 weeks before the date of your ceremony.
Cancellation
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If a booking is cancelled the following will apply:
- Cancellation 12 weeks or more before the date of the ceremony – the customer is entitled to a refund of certificates ordered and the full ceremony fee excluding the non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellation 6 to 12 weeks before the date of the ceremony – the customer is entitled to a refund of certificates ordered and 50% of the full ceremony fee excluding the non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellation 6 weeks or less before the date of the ceremony – the customer is entitled to a refund of the certificates ordered only.
If the registrars are no longer required to attend your ceremony, please email ceremonies-mailbox@devon.gov.uk to make us aware of your cancellation. We can then remove your booking from our diaries.
Amendments
An amendment fee of £75 is chargeable for any changes made to your booking.
Please note that these fees are subject to increase on 1 April each year.
