For learners based in and around Exeter, Exeter College is offering the following the following ESOL courses:

Skills for Life

Exeter College runs a “Skills for Life” ESOL course at 5 levels, focussing on communication skills. This course offers qualifications.

The course takes place at Hele Road, Bradninch Court and various Community venues.

Learners will get the chance to gain national qualifications by taking exams at specific times as follows:

  • Speaking and Listening: exam at the end of November
  • Reading skills: exam at the end of March
  • Writing skills: exam at the end of June

Springboard

This course is for young ESOL adults aged 19-25, whose English skills are not yet at Level 2. The course enables the learners to progress to an Apprenticeship or to GCSE English and Maths or Level 2 ESOL. Learners follow an intensive English Language programme and attain ESOL qualifications at their appropriate level. Learners have the opportunity to study additional qualifications such as Maths and Essential Digital Skills.

Young ESOL Plus (YES plus)
