Art Work Exeter (and Cultural Knowledge Exchange), are partnering with some excellent city organisations to put on Exeter Dumpling Day on 23rd June, celebrating an international hero – the humble dumpling!
In the run up to Exeter Dumpling Day (and to make enough dumplings), AWE are running 4 earlier dumpling making workshops at St Sidwell’s Community Centre, Sidwell Street, Exeter EX4 6NN, taking place on May14th, 18th, 22nd, and 25th.
To help run the workshops and Exeter Dumpling Day, AWE are looking for Dumpling Teachers and Dumpling Makers:
Dumpling teachers.
If you know a recipe which tells a special cultural or personal story, AWE are looking for 8 dumpling makers from different parts of the world to teach it to dumpling makers. You need to be available for one of the workshops (14th, 18th, 22nd, or 25th May). Email create@artworkexeter.org.uk by 6 May to volunteer.
Dumpling makers.
Each workshop will need 2 dumpling makers to help make enough dumplings! You can learn amazing recipes to impress your family and friends. All ingredients are provided, and no special skills or experience is required, but a small donation of £5 to £10 is requested to cover costs. If you’d like to join a workshop on 14th, 18th, 22nd or 25 May, sign up here.
