Exeter Respect CIC was established to promote diversity, equality, and human rights in Exeter and across Devon. It is best known for organising the Exeter Respect Festival, the biggest diversity festival in the Southwest. In 2024, we will celebrate our 27th birthday. The Exeter Respect Festival brings together a huge range of people, groups, and organisations from diverse backgrounds.

Exeter Respect CIC also offers a range of services throughout the year:

  • support for BAME families
  • equality and diversity training
  • family conferencing, in particular for BAME.
  • events organising,
  • mentoring for women and young people from minority ethnic communities
  • homework clubs for schools
  • football tournaments
  • anti-racism projects
  • consultation and training services: cultural competence, tackling racism
  • equality and diversity policies; human rights
  • parenting courses
