The Pickwell Foundation are partnering with Kent based charity Empathy Action to bring their immersive theatre production Desperate Journeys to North Devon.

Empathy Action’s immersive theatre experience, Desperate Journeys, explores the global refugee crisis by tracking the journey of a family forced from their home in a war torn country. It is a challenging piece of drama based firmly on facts, first hand accounts and case studies to remind participants of the human stories behind the headlines.

Desperate Journeys will be hosted in St Peter’s Church, Ilfracombe between Sunday 17th – Friday 22nd March, offering free entry for schools and the local community to take part in this immersive experience.

We are looking for volunteers to help us bring this project to life, offering a range of opportunities for anyone that would like to get involved. We’re looking for: Cast members (available 16th-22nd March with a small number of rehearsals on zoom in February & March). Set up crew to help build the set (15th-16th March) Pack down crew to take down set (22nd March). Email: Rebekah@thepickwellfoundation.org.uk for more details.
