Devon County Council will shortly be delivering improvements to the Sweetbrier Lane/Whipton Lane Roundabout, near Quick Print. As shown in the Scheme Plan, the improvements comprise the construction of raised crossings on two arms of the roundabout. The improvements were consulted on during the Heavitree and Whipton Phase 2 Consultation, and are intended to:
- Improve road safety at this junction, where there have been several recent collisions
- Help people walking and wheeling cross the road
During the works, which are expected to start on Monday 7 November and last approximately two weeks, all roads will remain open to people walking, wheeling and cycling, although cyclists may need to dismount. However, the Sweetbrier Lane arms of the roundabout will be closed to vehicular traffic, with diversionary routes in place. Local bus routes may also be diverted.
