We want to make finding suitable childcare for your child as easy as possible.
You can search for settings by using the Find Childcare in Devon Family Information Directory. You can also use Ofsted’s ‘Find an inspection report’ facility to find childcare providers and childminders in your area and see how they are performing.
Early years provision
Early years provision includes pre-schools, nurseries and nannies. Some providers take children aged 2-5 and some take children aged 0-5.
- Our early years provision page provides more information on choosing a provider and what to do if you can’t find suitable childcare in your area.
- Our financial support page offers more information on the different types of funding that are available to help pay for childcare and information about eligibility.
Wraparound care
When your child is school aged you may need additional care outside of school hours to help you work, this is called wraparound care. Most schools will have a breakfast club or after-school club but nannies and childminders can also often provide childcare around the school day.
