(FOOTPATH No. 17, TOTNES)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
The above Order, which came into force on Thursday 1 August 2024, and would have expired on 1 February 2025 has been extended by the Secretary of State until Friday 1 August 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
No persons and/or cyclists shall proceed on the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public rights of way affected:
FOOTPATH No. 17, TOTNES where it crosses the Mill Leat via a footbridge see red dashes on the adjacent plan.

The alternative route is via the Access For All Path linking the riverside area with National Cycle Network Route No. 2, and National Cycle Network Route No. 2, and vice versa – see green circles on the adjacent plan.
The closure is necessary because the footbridge has been assessed as unsafe.
